Alderton Parish Council offers condolences to Royal Family on passing of HRH Queen Elizabeth II
Alderton Parish Council are deeply saddened by the news of the death of our Monarch, Queen Elizabeth II. Most of us have never known life without her, her leadership and her dedication to duty. Our sincere condolences with thoughts and prayers go out to her family. Long live the King.

Condolence Book
There will be a Book of Condolence available for all who wish to sign in St Margaret’s Church, Alderton from Sunday 11th September 10am to 4pm for a period of one month. Buckingham Palace has also opened an e-Book of Condolence at https://www.royal.uk/send-message-condolence

Flowers/Donations
Floral tributes can be laid, during the period of mourning, at the War Memorial on St Margaret’s Drive. Please do not use cellophane wrapping, wire and/or elastic bands.
Alternatively, a Donations box will be available in the Alderton Village Shop – all donations will be directed to local charities.

Proclamation event
The Borough Proclamation of the accession of His Majesty King Charles III will take place on the steps of the Council Offices on Sunday 11 September at 2 pm and will be read by the Borough Mayor.

Parish Council Meeting
As a mark of respect the Parish Council meeting scheduled for the 20th September will not take place. Pending notification from the Palace, the meeting is likely to be rescheduled for Tuesday 27th, but this is to be confirmed.
