Garden waste collections will pause on Friday, 22 December 2023 and start again on Monday, 8 January 2024. This will allow our collection crews to manage the extra rubbish that gets thrown out in January.
Tewkesbury Borough Council’s Lead member for clean and green environment, Councillor Sarah Hands, said: "Please make sure you don’t miss any waste collections over Christmas and New Year by checking these revised dates.
"With all the extra refuse we inevitably create at this time of year, it’s vital we recycle all the appropriate items. Check our website if you're not sure whether something can be recycled or not.
"Gloucestershire Recycles’ Waste Wizard will tell you the various ways you can make use of unwanted household items, whether it's repairing, recycling or reusing them. You can find out more by visiting gloucestershirerecycles.com/waste-wizard
"I'm sure I speak for us all when I say a big thank you to our collection crews for their extra hard work over the Christmas period."
